I say piffle to notions of internet addiction. An adiction is a change of brain chemistry, "something I like doing" is not. Otherwise I must hie myself to Clothes-Wearers Anonymous, because I can't get through a single day without opening my closet.

Are people who read books all the time, or talk on the phone all the time, or watch TV all the time, called addicts? Main questiuon, of course, is does interneting interfere with necessary activities of daily living. Like, do you skip showers?

i think those other people who shout internet addiction just haven't caught on yet. the internet is all those things: reading a book, talking on the phone and watching tv. yes, we probably spend more time on the internet than any single one of them, but i bet we probably spend roughly the same time when they're all added up.

philistines.

I think that's the main point and the answer is 'somewhat'.

I need to control myself better, i am too fond of immediate-pleasure seeking activities and willing to ignore long term inconveniences...
