I received an email from someone called Dave 38 minutes ago asking me to visit his site, which offers the benefit of online poker playing or other gambling, besides the opportunity to discuss politics and current affairs.

It's the second I have received in the last few days.

I have marked it to my ISP as spam.

Clearly you're not one of the favoured ones. I still ocasionally get e-mails saying how much they miss me and want me back.

These are not emails from Dave. These are emails from Davebot, camouflaging as Dave.

Probably coz you were banned. A 'bot trying to convince people who signed up to P&CA to show up would be badly programmed if it was targetting banned members...

I received that mail and I've never been banned there, and I still participate.
