In another episode, he described how a cellmate was drugged after smoking a cigarette that had been doctored. An FSB source on Thursday dismissed the claims as "a complete fabrication" that Mr Sutyagin had dreamt up to attract attention to himself.

Okay, so the Russians are known for being pretty hardcore in their drinking habits, but I'm pretty sure that memory loss and fatigue are the normal results of drinking a tumbler full of cognac.

Also make me suspect that he may actually be innocent - surely it's pretty remiss of the British spy training people not to include a module on why, if you have been captured and are undergoing interrogation, it's not a good idea to drink half a pint of brandy, even if you wash it down with time traveling Febreeze soup.
