That is mainly due to the fact that the percentage of people who were eaten by wolves is markedly smaller than the percentage of people who have not recently bought a new TV.

Americans are, overall, more individualistic and more concerned with preserving the possibility of "winning big" than Europeans. Their system and society reflects that, to a large degree. If you want the chance to become a multi-billionaire, Europe isn't the right place for you.

My only problem with various countries having various systems is that, alas, the choice isn't done ante but post. i.e. You start getting rich in Europe/you got something worthwhile - You move to a low tax/high inequality country.

At this game, Europe ends up with all the world's losers while all the winners move to more favourable countries, such as the UK/US.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about 'fairness' and 'equality'. There's going to come a time when smart kids are given less time to answer exam questions on the pretext that it's not fair on the stupid kids.

Life isn't fair and people are not all equal. This book is just peddling Communism and the author needs putting against a wall pronto.

Life isn't fair - Is that the genetic bit or the social bit?

People are not equal - Same question.

There are many ways to divide a pie. Sweden is more equal than the USA but hasn't actually gone to reducing the time smart kids get to sit exams...

Otherly said, you constructing a strawman and act it. Well done but that's not what the book/OP is about...
