Yep, and who knows, on micro systems if you get enough support you may be able to make a difference, but on large systems, say like changing from a Capitalist to a Marxist economy, the way you make the difference is by no supporting the system (or at the very least doing what you can to ensure you support it as little as possible, like the mid-ulster farmers)

And, you haven't explained how it is that you can simply get up and go elsewhere at will.
I know, people are just stuck in the country they are born, if only I could figure a way to be able to move people from one to another were they could set up a life in the new country. I'll get to thinking about that, maybes the answer will make me rich

Nopes, you are freely chosing to support the system. You are not being forced to. (or again, at the very least, you are not doing all you can to support the system as little as you can)

Or you do something terribly old fashioned: politics.

Are you totally unaware of immigration laws or something? Show me a borderless world with no language barriers and your argument will make sense; until then it's pie in the sky.

Really? No police, no courts, no jails?

As already observed, having a system imposed upopnme does not make me a supporter of it. Once again, you are asserting that there are no oppressive societies and never have been. Every Roman slave was, according to your logic, "freely choosing to support the system". This is completely vacuous.

Mhm, and during discussion of such politics you can complain about capitalism while tucking into a BigMac and fries

Nope, you incapable of filling in the required forms? Like I said, if it's something that you care passionatly enough about you'll do what it takes. Heck, I've already suggested the mid-ulster groups that would ensure you support the system as little as possible while being able tk speak out against it, if you'd rather live more fully under the system then that's your (wise imo) choice.

Butyou can leave and go to a different system, if you want, those under opressive regimes don't have such a choice, atleast, nit the same type of choice. If...you can be bothered to do the paperwork.

Imposed upon you? You chose to come here, you chose to continue to live here, how many roman slaves chose to be slaves and where free to leave at will? (if they could be bothered to fill out the paperwork!)

The point I was trying to make for Contra is that he doesn't consider himself supporting capitalism as much as being a victim of it. Just as a serf might consider himself a victim of feodalism. Or a slave a victim of the Antique mode of production (Mode of production - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Edit- I feel upon re-Reading I have misread you on what you were saying about the reactors (though what I have already said still stands) if, as I now think, you were talking about the mid-ulster farmer folk, nope, they have no way of such power as far as I know, and do indeed lead a 'simple life' but those are the realities of comunal living I guess.
Indeed. And Contra does not want to lead a 'simple life'... He wants this technologically advanced society to adopt communist principles, not regress technologically.

The poor petal. If we look around we are all victims of something. You have our permission to cry:

Nice pic. Contra's reply will be that, as long as political activism is open to him, he doesn't need to cry.

All in all, I think that Noir's question has been answered.

Indeed not. My village has been sending it's idiots to the US to provide foreign policy advice.
