If you can't understand, or or don't think you can argue, the case for the harm inflicted by racism or other discrimination, you can cloak it under the wooly idea of "causing offence". I think this point would deserve an answer. Should I be free to call a black "nigger" and he just shouldn't take offense coz "no one has a right not to be offended"... I mean, given you're turning very libertarian these days, I guess you'd be fine with that black guy then smacking me down and would say " 'serves you right for being a racist prick". But I am sure you see why such a social organisation might not be ideal... even if you like plenty of gory murders in your TV news...
