It's winter here and roma tomatoes cost $8.90 a kilo (god knows where they have come from). A kilo of tomatoes provides 230 calories.

A McDonalds Double Beef 'n' Cheeseburger costs $1.95 and contains 384 calories.

A small serve of fried potatoes (I can't find the price but I think it's around 60 cents) is just over 1100 calories.

For people living on the bones of their arse, can you see the problem?

I wasn't entirely suggesting that the poor eat nothing but tomatoes.
