Default Gold bubble punctured

The Financial Times reported yesterday that bullion had dropped to an intraday low of $1,332.70, 7.5% down from its peak of $1,430.95 last December. Perhaps more significantly there is currently the largest number of short positions outstanding that there has been in the last five and a half years. Clearly, many speculators expect the price to continue dropping.
