Interesting point. On the one hand, chucking a petrol bomb is a cowardly act and most bullies are just full of wind. On the other, chucking a petrol bomb tend to indicate a personality/a person raised in an environment where he/she is prone to solve problems with violence...
The corollary would also be interesting: Would Charlie Hebdo cartoonists insist on insulting people at random if there was a chance they'd be called to defend their drawings at the pointy end of their sword.
(For technical reasons, I prefer swords rather than pistols for this duelling concept of ours. Duel with pistols was a bit too random. Less skill than luck involved).

In general, you should avoid mocking people just for kicks. 'Coz, human nature being what it is, the people you mock may decide to retaliate with more than one-line jokes. This was true in the school-yard and I don't think most people mature much beyond that.
