At ten to two this afternoon there was still a long queue at the Sydney Apple store:



It was 20 degrees and no rain today so good weather for queuing. I also saw queues outside the Telstra and Optus stores. Unlike in the US, where the iPhone is tied to AT&T, phone users here can move to whichever carrier they want whenever they want, subject to term contracts they might have signed up to.

Is that a queue or just a busy sidewalk?

There are same number of peoiple apparently walking in both directions.
