Default Question about Prince William

I don't follow this stuff, but there was a 5min blurb on the news over here about his possible engagement and how "The English people are getting impatient with him, they want a royal wedding".

Please tell me this isn't true, and the Brits don't really give a shit about something like this?

Yeah, if we don't have at least one royal wedding every five years or so we begin to spontaneously combust. It's an observed natural phenomenon.

Being a great procreator is both a qualification and a perk of being a big leaderman. So yes, it's expected of the man who would be king.

I don't think there's any expectation for frequency of royal weddings, but it's certainly expected that those of an age will do it.

Some tabloid may have written an article to that effect perhaps, but it has not been in the news otherwise. So no, there is no "concern" as such; after all, the succession is no longer a matter of state and is thus insignificant.

There's nothing in the news about any royal wedding. The papers and reporters have been following the two princes in Botswana working with their charities and the occasional trips they've made into South Africa for the World Cup.

Don't even know if William has a girlfriend currently.

Would it pose a constitutional crisis if it turned out that he was infatuated with a gay hairdresser from Belgravia?

Disclaimer: I have no reason to think he might be apart from human nature being what it is.

What a coincidence that a charity trip to Botswana would come off just now....
