Support for "Thatcher War Leader" doesn't mean support for "Thatcher Monetarist/Austrian School Enthusiast".
Either you stand yourself on a "pro war, pro socialism" ticket, or you acknowledge that you're willing to tolerate her economic policies as long as she gives the Argies a kicking. In homo oeconomicus terms, the marginal utility of going to war was greater than that of having socialist economic policy, so you made the exchange.
